Dear Diary....

Mairie lays across her briarwood bed, quill, ink and a notebook made up of bound leaves of taipa paper in front of her, next to her is the cuddly Kerran dolly that Sidra and Kogaiji gave her a few days previously.

'Dear Diary,

What an interesting couple of days! A very long series days, but interestingnone the less. The other night the Captain decided that he would take me as his Apprentice and released me from my contract with Master Crux. This relieved me because Master Crux has.. and interesting set of morals. The next day, I was Knighted in a very public ceremony at the Militia House for my deeds in Freeport. I was both embarrassed and scared, but pleased and rejoicing.

Later in the day, I began to negotiate with Hwal Ruksif in the Antonicas for details on how to acquire a pair of his old, dwarven work boots -- Andrashi accompanied me. We were shortly joined by Sidra, but both Andrashi and Sidra were then called off to other duties. Kogaiji called me to come and hunt with him in the Tenebrous Tangle so that I would learn by example. It was a great deal of fun. I then went hunting in Fallen Gate, coming back to town to find Kogaiji in an...interesting mood. In an attempt to cheer him up, I ended up holding him for several hours while we talked about everything under the sun. I fell asleep on his shoulder, cuddled around him..it was the first restful sleep that I have had since coming to this town. Some of it might have been the oppulance of his home, but most of it was the company.

I woke up alone, in my room...not quite sure of how I got abck there. I acquired some new tasks from the Faction Houses and went out to complete them. Then I adjourned to the Blood Haze, went to a beautiful wedding between Vakarina's daughter and some man I'd never met before, and met two very interesting Guides named Katalin and Niggle. Then I was dragged off to the Soulfire Club, where this went through all our heads :

'a lowly vagabond, tired from his wanderings rests his muscles benweath the shade of a mighty oak. it has been a logn journey for him, especially when the sly creatures of this forest made off with his boots! '

'Perhaps you can be of assistance! Find this tired warrior and see if you can help him, so that he might continue his travels and reach his destination without sore feet!'

'Something tells you that you might have seen this warrior in a forest the marksmen call home.'

So we all rushed out after it, Kogaiji, Andrashi and I, finding the warrior running across a field. We raced after him, and he started attacking another woman -- well, the two attacked each other, and eventually he was victorious over her. I turned around and Andrashi was gone, but Ko was on the mountainside with someone named Shard, and well...it was bad. Ko was hurt, and the Lord Commander wouldn't send anyone other than the newest ShadowKnight, Xeia, to help. Shard toyed with us for a while, then I got into an interesting telepathic conversation with one of her minions, a Kitty-Kerran who made me question what exactly the meaning is between good and evil. I'm supposably evil, but I am a better person than Shard, who is supposably good. We camped on the rocks above the sea, waiting for us to heal before heading home the next morning.

When we got home, something very disturbing occurred. Nilok ordered Ko to punish Sidra for being a smartmouth, and he did, quite viciously. I watched in something that was somewhere between desire and horror and wished that it was me that Ko was harming. Then I ended up atop the BloodHaze speaking with Gemmia about ... everything. Oh and I got my first page today.... and i have no idea what to do with him.

I think that's it for the night, Diary....

Mair puts the pot of ink, quill and notebook on a bedside table, blows out the single candle and falls asleep in her very comfy bed, cuddling her Kerran dollie.
